Employee Assistance Program – EAP

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a work-based intervention program designed to enhance the emotional and psychological well-being of employees.

EAPs provide preventive and proactive interventions for the early detection, identification and resolution of workplace and personal problems that may adversely impact upon work performance and general well-being.

These problems and issues may include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, stress, bullying, relationships, health, trauma, alcohol and substance abuse as well as gambling and other addictions.

Eap.Org (Inc) is the Peak Body representing employers, practitioners and providers that use and deliver Employee Assistance Programs throughout Australia.

Our members’ primary objective is to provide the most effective and efficient employee assistance program services to employees suffering from emotional and psychological issues which may negatively impact on their work and well-being.

Eap.Org (Inc) is a not for profit organization with the emphasis being on understanding the needs of our organisational clients and tailoring services to support and prevent mental health issues in the workplace.

Eap.Org Memberships & Benefits

Membership for employers is free and all employers interested in the delivery of Employee Assistance Programs within their organization are encouraged to register. Benefits include access to registered EAP Providers & Practitioners as well as invitations to both participate and attend our regular meetings and conferences.

Membership for EAP Providers & Practitioners requires a small annual registration fee. Best practice EAP providers may be given a complimentary listing on the Home Page. Practitioners will be listed and access will be given to both employers & providers looking to engage practitioners. Relevant parties will also be invited to participate and attend our regular meetings and conferences. Memberships can be purchased online.
